Then I started having problems with the single serving K-cup basket. It won't seat properly in the filter basket. Called Hamilton Beach for help and they insisted there was nothing wrong with the basket, even though it wouldn't lock into place, would get stuck in the coffeemaker, and would mangle a K-cup so bad I ended up with coffee grounds all over the place, including in my cup. After fighting with HB for some time, they finally agreed to send me a replacement coffee maker, but would only waive the shipping charge of $20 if I sent them a photo of my coffee maker with the cord cut so it would be unusable. So what am I supposed to use to make a cup of coffee until the new unit arrives???? Totally frustrated and very upset that this thing broke so easily and quickly. Would never buy this again or recommend it.
