If you're wondering why this vegetti is so cheap (they're usually 2-3x this price), it's because it is a vastly inferior product. I didn't know that off-brand vegettis existed until I bought two of these pieces of junk to replace my original vegetti, which I gave to a friend. First off - this produces flat, thin slices of vegetables that turn to complete mush after any exposure to heat or water (as per the usual cooking methods). My original device made thicker, more spaghetti-like strips. Another inequality: the spiked lid can't grip vegetables well enough to twist them through the blades, forcing you to use your hands and potentially cut or scratch yourself in the process. If I hadn't already cut them out of the packaging and thrown all the plastic away I'd return these in a heartbeat. Save yourself the time and disappointment and buy the real thing.
