I wanna preface by saying I had massively high hopes for this product. When I had bought this product it had 15K reviews and 4 1/2 stars. It was said to be an amazing whitening agent, and as someone who's never had whitening before I was EXCITED to try this. I followed the directions and noticed an immediate smoothness to my teeth but no visible whiteness. I should have bailed after the first time but no, I decided, well I need to give it more time. I did this two more times, before stopping as I just didn't feel sure about the sensation. Lo and behold not even a day after, I started having the most HORRIFIC gum pain I have ever had in my life. I was in a constant state of agony that not even asprin could fix. I woke up out of my sleep thanks to the pain and was on the verge of crying. Eating or drinking anything hot or cold would ensure my gums would feel like they were about to explode and I'd want to curl up in a ball and cry. It HURT. For a three time use I spent months afterwards dealing with gum sensitivity that made me want to rip my gums out. I should have read the 1-star reviews of this product because when I did, lo and behold I saw other comments complaining of similar problems. That oh so wonderful clean feeling on your teeth is your enamel being stripped away, don't be fooled like I was. Save yourself a dentist trip and unwarranted pain by avoiding this product, or activated charcoal in general. There aren't many products I ever regret buying but this is one of them. I am baffled by how highly rated this product is but then again different strokes for different folks I guess. Would I recommend this product? To put it respectfully, not in a million years.
