No response from Zero Water since initial review.
I love water. It's all I drink. I can taste the difference in various bottled water. I have been using the Zero water pitcher since it first came out. I LOVED it. After spending thousands on bottled water, I finally had great water for pennies. Then... the design change of the filters. The old design was great. I could get about 50 gallons from each filter. Now? I'm lucky to get 15. I added a water filter to my faucet, hoping by filtering the water first, it would help to stretch these out. No luck with that. And I have had to throw away 3, out of the 8-pack, because they stopped working after about 4 pitchers of water. The water stayed in the top of the pitcher. I am now looking for an alternative to this. They had a great product and messed it up. Update: I have had no response from Zero Water about my first review. I realized, if I lightly hit the clogged filter on the edge of the sink, it would begin to empty again. This is aggravating, but it does allow the filter to last a little longer. BUT, this does have it's drawbacks, as a few pitchers later, the filtering median begins to show up, floating in the top of the pitcher when water is added. As I said, this "new" filter is seriously flawed. I finally purchased an ASIN:B005V087GS Aquasana AQ-4000B Countertop Water Filter System. It's not cheap, but the water is good, and clean, using the Zero Water Testing meter.
