Not accurate enough
TO ANYONE THAT TRULY KNOWS THE MESSAGE OF FATIMA THIS WOULD BE VERY DISAPPOINTING.
But if you have no clue about Fatima, you may like it.
I have read the book of Fatima in Lucia’s Own Words and in my opinion this movie leaves out too many important messages from Our Lady.
Our Lady is too often poorly paraphrased and misquoted.
The movie is more focused on Lucia’s relationship with her mother than with the Mother of God.
They also portray the children’s personalities poorly....…they were much more confident and faithful than they are portrayed here and willing to die to keep the secret!.... yet they always show Lucia not knowing what to say.
They show the Blessed Mother telling Lucia that she would be her messenger for “love and peace”… But our Lady said to pray and make sacrifices … It’s such a watered down version of the message of Fatima.
I recommend The 13th Day movie instead which has a much more accurate portrayal.
I give it 2 stars just because it’s at least an effort to share the message of Fatima.
