The waffle molds do not secure together all the way so it constantly spills inside the maker and then, it gets all over the space you have it sitting on. I thought it was because I was pouring too much batter inside them but nope! Even when I reduced the amount of batter I used, it still would spill out of the molds. I was only able to make 4 waffles and I was making waffles for everyone in my family that day. I settled for frozen waffles that day! It was the first time I ever used this as well. I returned it.
