2K's morally disgusting microtransactions ruin this game.
Microtransactions ruin the career mode. They took basic features like an easy difficulty setting out of the game all in a blatant attempt to force their customers into spending more money. Nearly every aspect of the career mode has been changed in the worse somehow to try to force you to give them more money.
Everyone knows why they added these microtransactions. It makes more money for 2K of course. It is however, greedy to an extreme degree. What these people are doing is about as legally evil as a video game company can get. I sincerely hope this blows up in their face enough that they lose a significant amount of money on the next couple years of games so they change their behavior.
Unfortunately, predatory schemes like this that target young kids (often with access to credit cards they shouldn’t have access to) and those with impulse control issues have been shown to make staggering amounts of money from a small number of people. So, even if a large percentage of people (rightfully) quit buying their games, their CEO’s may still decide this outright morally disingenuous system of monetization will stay. I believe we need to try though, and I won't be giving 2K another dime for any of their video games unless they change this behavior. I hope enough people will join me to make a difference.
