Bought two DCS-942Ls. The small 942L looks good, and it's nice to have built in IR illuminators. The SD micro card slot is a good feature as well. That's where the good ends. I have 27 IP devices including 15 IP cameras on a three story home network, so I know more than the average consumer about configuring wired and wireless devices. The 942L night vision is blurry and out of focus. The day time video quality is low, and also out of focus, and after lots of tweaking the video quality is still crummy. DLink's claimed easy to install is anything but. The camera will not launch in explorer, but after much tweaking you might get it working. Worst of all is the hideous technical support with 1 plus hour holds, and often after waiting so long for support when you get switched to a tech DLink disconnects, so start all over again! If you can get to a tech, expect script reading with no resolution. Overseas Dlink techs have a very bad attitude and are not happy. So, if you have unlimited time and are willing to spend days trying and tyring to get it to work only to fail, then go for it. Otherwise, buy something else.
