Should really read me before buying
I put this review as a one star in hopes that bright minded buyers might read & trust this HONEST review - because its actually a four star & i just paid FULL PRICE for my second pair. That's right, they do offer a discount for high ratings. But I don't care. First - prior to using magnetic lashes, if you are someone with a metal allergy, please be highly cautious or reconsider. The truth is, magnetic lashes may just not be for you. I know that's rough to hear, but a common misconception is people saying, "there are magnets in the eyeliner" - there are NOT. There are magnets attached to the actual lashes, but there are metal/alloy components to the liquid liner to ATTRACT the magnets on the lashes. You need to remember that these are metal/metal derivatives. So if you are sensitive, you may have some irritation or inflammation. Second - four stars is not because they're faulty/don't work, but because no matter how you slice it, the liner is incredibly difficult to remove no matter what method you try. Third - for those receiving sticky or tacky liner - consider your climate. If you live somewhere very warm, that can directly affect the quality & consistency of your makeup products. Because makeup is not food, it isnt necessarily temperature regulated like other products might be. Living in Washington, I happen to be pretty safe in that department. Fourth - when applying your lashes, to ensure that they blend, you need to put down your regular powder on your lids first. Then I personally lay a base layer of regular liquid liner & let it dry to help keep the magnetic liner off of my actual eyelashes & to ensure that my real lash line is nice & dark to the water line. Then I immediately apply a light layer of mascara BEFORE APPLYING MY MAGNETIC LINER, over my natural lashes. If I use a light color powder on my lids, I make sure to either dust off my lashes or dust black powder over them to conceal any fallen light powder prior to applying the magnetic falsies. Any light spots may show through. When they say you have to add a "thicker layer of magnetic eyeliner", to stick your lashes properly, they mean WIDTH not DEPTH. Place one line down over the dried regular liner. Let it dry. Then apply a second layer, JUST ABOVE the first dried layer. (Taking up more eyelid space, NOT layering a bunch of layers one directly on top of another). Lastly, once these steps are done, I bring the magnetic lashes just ABOVE the base of my regular lashes & gently slide them down as close as possible towards my eyelid to ensure that they are as close to my natural lashes as possible & they really do blend right in! I know it sounds lengthy, but trust me guys, the results really CAN be worth it, without spending a million dollars & the more practiced you are the faster it gets. I love being able to change lashes without having to redo everything whenever I want too!
