glue, grease, and/or chemicals inside pot
Strange cleaning routine that must be followed until the tea kettle is safe to use. Per the instructions, I cleaned the tea kettle, dried it, and then boiled two kettles of water as instructed. Still there are some "unknown particles" that are inside the pot that contaminate the water. When you pour the boiled water in a cup, you will see small particles floating in your cup. I have no idea what chemicals these particles are. I went through the cleaning instructions for a second time. After a few uses, these particles returned. What on earth is this thing made of? I have many stainless steele pots, and they do not leave any residue when I boil water. What are the chemicals used that keep re-occuring in water boiled in this tea kettle? This is not safe to use. I have no idea if there are plastic parts in the whistle melting or what. Or, is something coming up from the base of the kettle? But my health is too important to use this tea pot. I should have known with the special cleaning instructions on first use that there is something inside this kettle that should not be used in any pot/kettle. This made in China teapot is coated with something dangerous that will leak into the water you boil. Do not buy this tea pot!
