Update - After GoWise told me they would send a new basket and pan and I pitched the shipping container they now want me to return the entire unit as the fryer and basket are out of stock. . Do not buy this product - I believe they knew it was faulty hence no stock... below is the email I have just sent to gowise. Lets see how it is handled. I will update. I bought an electric fryer from Amazon that arrived this week The Fry Basket easily releases itself from the pot without my engaging the release button or even sliding the plastic cover back. - resulting in french fries for the test run - and 2 salmon steaks later falling to the floor. At first I thought maybe I had done something wrong - so I re-read the manual….. 3 times. I then tested the basket once cool in my kitchen. The result being anything of any weight like 2 baked potatoes was heavy enough to disengage the metal prongs that secure the basket ago the pan.. This is extremely dangerous not to mention shocking as an end user. After reading Amazon reviews I see this is not an isolated issue and I would like to know the best solution GoWISE have to this. If there is no solution I will be returning this product in the next few days. Sincerely Sue Evans
