I purchased this little slow cooker in October 2009, since I was looking for a 2-3qt cooker with a "keep warm" setting. This seemed like a great little slow cooker - temps were good, the size was perfect for 1-2 people plus a few leftovers, and I used it at least once a week. Unfortunately today it met an untimely end when, after 4 hours of cooking, I lifted the lid to check my meal and the entire lid exploded in my hand! Needless to say, dinner was ruined (glass is not considered a proper ingredient in pot roast!) and I had glass covering half my kitchen, ranging from easy-to-find 1" chunks all the way down to tiny, invisible slivers. After spending an hour emptying the kitchen, washing EVERYTHING, sweeping, mopping, shaking out, and wiping down, I'm still not convinced I've found it all. So now I guess I will be starting the search for a new, perfect slow cooker, because even with a new lid I can't imagine ever trusting this one again.
