Another drunken loser with a PI license and unrealistic good luck even though he's a naive idiot with a fowl mouth and no morals. His late-comer sidekick is even worse. The ending leads one to believe the love of a good woman - I never figured out what she saw in him - will completely turn his life around even though he clearly shows almost no respect for women in the entire book, so why would he start? Don't waste your time with this one.
