I appreciate really nice monitors. I work in IT where I do some programming and other systems work, I'm also a gamer, and a casual photographer so having a good, solid, reliable monitor is very important to me. Prior to getting this monitor, I had a 1080P ASUS monitor that had lasted me over five years without a hitch but I wanted something nicer. At the time I purchased this, there were not any ASUS monitors available (many out of stock, and models that did not fit my exact specs). I found this LG and despite being a hardcore ASUS fan for monitors, I went with the LG due to the reviews. For well over a year, the monitor performed flawlessly for me and worked really well. But after less than two years of usage, it totally stopped working. The monitor will power on, but after trying multiple PCs and all three ports on it, I cannot get a signal. I am past the warranty period (1 year, parts and labor) on this monitor so I'm SOL after spending a lot of money on it. I'm now back to using my backup ASUS monitor and will never return to the LG brand.
