I really liked this thermometer at first. It provided accurate readings and the magnet feature is great for storage. Battery is good and the auto-shutoff helps with that. However, after about 1 year of use, it began providing inaccurate readings. For example. It's 70 degrees F in my house, but this says -37. Take out the battery enough times and it may eventually end up reading correctly. Leave it turned off and stored for a few days and it may work correctly again. The problem then becomes not knowing if would be working at a time when i really needed it. The WORST part is the lack of support from Lavatools. One of the main bullet points in the item description is a lifetime warranty however I have been unable to get lavatools to respond to multiple warranty inquiries. You fill out a form on their website and submit it, but they do not send you a confirmation, ticket number, etc on any kind via email. So you have no reference for the next contact. And they still have not responded to the requests i've sent (1 over a month ago, 2nd over a week ago). Poor customer support forces me to give this 2 stars.
