Spirulina does not have to taste bad. I've taken spirulina powder mixed with a combo of apple juice and water for years and have always found it to be quite palatable and easy to mix. A few months ago I decided to try a container of NOW and also found it pleasant tasting and easy to mix. I recently re-ordered from NOW but as soon as I removed the cap and smelled it, I instantly knew something was wrong because it smelled terrible. Rule of thumb; if it smells bad it will taste bad. This product not only tasted bad, it did not mix well and left thick green clumps in the bottom of the blender. I got one of the those wretched clumps in my mouth and had to spit it out. It was positively vile. I called Amazon and they sent me a replacement. The same thing happened with the replacement. This time I called NOW and explained what had happened. The customer service rep told me that NOW no longer gets their spirulina from the prisitne waters of Hawaii. They now import it from INDIA. Frankly I think they switched to India because they can get it cheaper. Did they really think no one would notice? Trust me, this spirulina does not come from pristine waters. Tastes more like it came from the Ganges!
