We've had a Dyson animal for 9 years. We loved it. We were told by a lot of people that "Dyson is just a name & other vacuums are just as good" specifically this Hoover windtunnel. Consumers report also rated it as one of the highest. So... We figured let's try? We'll definitely be saving a few hundred. Got it & was excited. Vacuumed & did well. We could immediately tell it wasn't as good as the Dyson we had but whatever. It was still a decent vacuum & did what it was supposed too. After about the 3rd time using it the suction from the canister to the tubing started making a high pitched whistling sound that truly was not tolerable. Tried to clean it but didn't make a difference. Called the customer service for Hoover. 2 options. Take it to the service center & pay to have it repaired IF they can even repair it she said or return it to Amazon for a refund. We had definitely been spoiled by the warranty with Dyson & free replacement parts over the 5 to 7 years it covered. So... Off to Amazon Hoover goes... Ordering another Dyson & just paying the difference.
