I had to modify it to disable the beeping
--EDIT-- I decided to try my hand at disabling the alarm so I can wake up just by light. I shouldn't have to do this because the entire point of this product is to wake up by light, not sound. Regardless, it took about 10 minutes. Below I will list the general steps: 1) On the back there is a sticker with a barcode. Towards the bottom center of that you can use your fingernail to feel little hole with a screw in it. This screw connects the front plastic cover to the back plastic cover, it also goes through the electronic board. Peel the sticker up and remove the screw. 2) With that screw removed you should be able to use a flat head screwdriver to pry the base piece (3" x .5") to expose the board. When you pry it open you will see the little black speaker (see picture). That should just have 2 solder points that connect it to the board. If you take your hammer and give it a little tap it should come loose. Then you can just tilt the clock around so the speaker falls on the ground. 2a) If you're confused about what part is the speaker just see the pictures I have attached. In one picture I have a red circle on the logic board where the speaker was before I removed it. In another picture I have the speaker removed. 3) At this point you should be able to pop the plastic pieces back together and then put that screw back in. I also put back that 3" x .5" plastic cover that I pried off. I secured it with some clear tape. Some plastic might be a little chewed up but it's not visible unless you pick it up. It appears to retain all other functionality. No more beeping! --------------------- I don't know if I'm just an idiot or not but the light strength setting (1-10) does not seem to stick. I set it to 10 but at times when I check it's at 7. I would also like to be able to disable the beeping. As it is now, it will slowly start to light up before your alarm set point (10 minutes prior I think). Once it hits the set time it should be at its max light and beeping. I don't want to wake up to beeping hence why I bought this. Ideally, If I wanted to wake up at 6am I would set this for 5:50am and during that 10 minutes of maximum brightness I would wake up naturally. As a fallback I would have my phone set to go off at 6:05am. Instead, most mornings I tend to wake up to the beeping which I think goes against the point of this product.
