★★☆☆☆
Definitely not family friendly or for 7 years and up
Our family has played the original version for years and we love it. In my work as a speech language pathologist I use both the junior versions and the regular as they are great for vocabulary and synonyms. So I was very excited to see the Big Picture version. I have many students that cannot read well or need visuals. Unfortunately I did not read some of these reviews before playing with some students. Imagine my surprise when a "family friendly" game has cards with cut off heads, the grim reaper, scantily clad women, suggestive poses, and just completely inappropriate pictures. I have pulled out 45 of the red cards. I emailed Mattel and received a standard form letter response..thank you for your input..... What I want to know is who thought these were ok to label "family" and I think they need to change the pictures or change to labeling. It's a good game, but buyers need to understand what they are getting.
