I really wanted to like this glue bottle, and I do in concept, but it has some problems. The first problem is as much me as it is the Glu-Bot but it makes the Glu-Bot difficult to use. After a lifetime of farming and over 30 years in the construction trades my hands no longer have the grip strength to squeeze this bottle. The further down the glue gets the more difficult it becomes to squeeze which brings us to the next problem. In order to make it easier to squeeze you need to let air in. This is accomplished by slightly unscrewing the big cap. I found doing this made the cap gum up with dry and semi-dry glue just like any other glue bottle. The third problem is the "stay clean" tip. When there is sufficient back suction in the bottle the tip does, indeed, stay clean, BUT, it also makes it more difficult to squeeze glue out. So, when you let air into the bottle regularly, making it easier to squeeze, it also makes for a tip that is just as messy as any other glue bottle. I do like the extra wide base and the fact that you don't need to fill the bottle completely up when gluing a vertical surface but these pluses just aren't enough to overcome the weaknesses...for me. I'm sure people with younger, stronger hands will have a different experience. I used this bottle through a couple sets of kitchen cabinets to give it a fair shake, but it hasn't left the shelf in over 6 months.
