I bought this item as something perfect for camping or hiking. On its first camping trip the radio completely failed, tried new batteries, tried the crank bit the radio would not tune in to any frequency am FM or weather. It seemed so sturdy too. The flashlight works the alarm works but not the radio. I have never given a one star before but it was supposed to be kind of a surprise at camp since the kids didn't have any of their electronics. It was just a horrible disappointment.
