I wanted to like this vacuum, I really really did. There were a few things I did like about it. Mainly the caddy that I used to drag it around while I did my hardwood floors. Being impressed with this vacuum though, was short lived. Today I vacuumed my family room and noticed it wasn't picking up a piece of dark fuzz on my light carpet. I turned it off and looked for a clog. Nothing. I turned it over and that's when I saw it. The beater bar was was so encased with mine and my daughters long hair, that nothing, and I do mean nothing, could pass through. Look at this picture...I am not exaggerating! I had to take a scissor and hack away at that mess for a half an hour. Disgusted, I asked around Facebook to see if others had this same problem, (I was really hoping that mine was just defective). As it turns out, I got lots of feedback, all with the same issue, Several even said they have to clean their beater bar after every use. Um, hello! I do not have time for that! Since neither my daughter nor I are willing to cut our hair to keep the vacuum, I will be sending it back to where it came from. My 10 year old Dyson never looked like this. Guess I'll be shelling out the big bucks for another one of those. :(
