This filing cabinet is very sturdy, unlike the many tinny models at office equipment stores. The drawer movement is very smooth and easy. The item arrived very well packed. BUT! The drawers don't open all the way. This is not a manufacturer's defect peculiar to the item I bought. It is part of the design of the cabinet. There is a full six inches of drawer that can't be pulled out of the cabinet. This makes it very inconvenient to retrieve files in the back of the drawer. A better choice would be the Hon, which is also sold on Amazon at a slightly higher price. I finally bought a Hon, and the drawers open all the way.
