The "Real Deal" Scoop on this product....
I am always intrigued by products with so many 5 star reviews and then there are very polarized 1 star reviews. How could this be? I'll tell you how....The company offers a free product on your next order if you leave a positive review. BOOM. Anyway, I used this conditioner with high hopes considering the name (Silk 18) and stellar reviews. Although when rinsing it out my hair did feel silky, upon drying my hair felt very dry and flat. Upon waking up, (my hair is to my mid back) my ends were tangled like a birds nest. I've never been so knotted before.. I gave it a few shots but happened every time.. Sometimes when I see 1 star reviews with so much negativity I'm a little suspicious that maybe its a competitor writing false reviews but I don't think so in this case. After combing my tangled hair out I really had more split ends. I hardly return Amazon products bc it seems more trouble then it's worth, "It's just conditioner guys, just finish it up" but I'm actually returning this. Yep. The vanilla scent wasn't so overpowering and awful, it was totally tolerable. This is a crappy conditioner covered with marketing buzzwords to makes one feel crunchy and environmentally aware. I can pat myself on the back but I can't comb my hair. Maybe this is why so many in this sustainable community have dreadlocks.. Anyway, amazing marketing by Maple Holistics, under performing product. Maybe it works better on somebody with short hair but def not for me.
