Please do not buy this product!!! I was very happy with these dishes for the first three months that I owned them. I regularly put them in the dishwasher and used them in the microwave. The back of each dish says, "dishwasher and microwave safe, may become hot in the microwave". They DO become very hot when microwaved. But since that was written on the back, I didn't have a problem with that. But when a dish says "microwave" safe, I do NOT expect it to EXPLODE in the microwave. I just had one of the plates explode, after it had been in the microwave for 45 seconds. Thank God my microwave is ok and I just lost one of the plates. But now I'm so scared to use them. What if it had exploded after I took it OUT of the microwave? The shrapnel could have hurt me or my family! My dishwasher gets very hot, what if they explode in there? My life is hard enough without having to worry about my dishes exploding. This is absolutely unacceptable. I will be writing to the company as well. Please save yourself the aggravation and do not buy these dishes.
