Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

This dash cam seems to be a well reviewed dash cam both on amazon and other independent websites. I was sorely disappointed, however, after reviewing the Yi's dash cam footage for the first time. Compared to my 2 year old dash cam (shadow gt580ws), the footage was grainy and the license plates un-readable. In denial that this brand new dash cam could be inferior to my old one, I searched the internet for a solution to what I thought might be user error or incorrect settings. Unfortunately what I found were other users reporting similar results, speculating that the camera loses focus due to heat issues. Although not all cameras seem to have this issue, I've since decided to return the Yi instead of requesting a replacement.
