Completely ruined within a year
We bought this kit in Dec. 2013 but didn't use it until May 2014. We loved the initial look of our countertops. Guests were shocked when we told them we had painted them. But, within a few months, the top coat began peeling. Not long after, chips appeared, exposing the white original counter. A year later, it looks awful!! The top sealing coat is peeling all over (even on the rarely used portions of the counter). The paint is coming up and chipping away. The biggest issues are obviously near the most commonly used areas (where I lean against the sink when washing dishes, where my kids eat breakfast), however, it seems that a product meant for kitchen countertops should be able to withstand normal kitchen countertop use. All I can do now is sand the countertops down and look for a different product. Terribly disappointed!!
