Lower the Price or Increase the Monthly Access
Audible is overpriced! Depending on your public library you can get many books for FREE. I have yet to run out of choices and they are ever expanding. And you can listen to them both as digital downloads or on CD depending on your preferences. I understand that authors need to make money just as audible does. However at a rate of one book per MONTH it is very likely that Audible is going to miss out on a LOT of business simply due to it's clear lack of value to many consumers other than those that don't understand that they have many other options. Audible has no printing costs, no shipping costs, no store front costs, editorial staff...etc!!!! This type of sales is much like fishing with nets strung across a river. There is little effort or expense beyond stringing the net across the river and waiting for fish to swim into the prestrung net. Audible needs to update it's business model based on the fact that many consumers understand that and will refuse to waste their money on a product that is so extremely limited. If you actually spend any amount of time listening to audio books, particularly series, twelve books a YEAR is laughable. If it weren't for their content I'd give them one star.
