Not 70 pints.
The tank in this model is noticeably smaller than the tank in my Frigidaire 50 pint dehumidifier that recently kicked the bucket. I don't know what crazy mathematical formula they used to calculate tank capacity, but it wasn't any math I'm familiar with. Fraudulent advertising aside, it was easy to set up and is working as expected. It's a little odd that the air intake is in the back and the exhaust is on the side. I have to keep it as far from the wall as possible because of this quirk, and, unfortunately, they didn't provide a long enough cord to compensate for the unusual vent placement. It seems to be far enough from the wall to get the job done, but it really should've come with a longer cord.
Now that I know the company isn't above lying about tank capacity, I'm worried about longevity. I'll return to update this review later.
Update: Welp, the humidity sensor is malfunctioning already, so I'm returning this dehumidifier. Despite having a smaller tank than Frigidaire's 50 pt. tank, the price was right (a brand name 50 pt. still costs more on average), but I ran out of patience when I set the humidity level to 40% and it kicked on at 45%, then kicked on at 40% when set to 50%. If you're brave (or foolhardy) enough to buy this, keep a close eye on it for a while and make certain it's functioning properly.
