My initial impression of this product was very good. It is very well built, sturdy, and the different height levels were all nice. It wasn't until I started using it that I noticed its HUGE flaw. I started drawing with the apple pencil and noticed my lines were stuttering like crazy. At first I thought the pencil was going bad, but then I realized that the magnet from the apple pencil was getting pull from the metal base of the stand. The stand is unusable if you have the 2nd gen apple pencil and planned on using this to draw. If you still have the original apple pencil (the one that doesn't snap to the ipad with a magnet), this stand should work for you. But I would still advise against it because you may want to upgrade at some point in the future.
