No temperature regulation = Ruined meals
Serious and dangerous flaws. I tested the HotLogic on two separate frozen Marie Calendars dinners. The first one, I plugged in at 8:00 A.M. and checked it at 11:00 A.M.. I opened the zippered bag a saw the contents of the dinner rapidly boiling and the plastic film bulging out. The temperature on my laser thermometer read 215 deg. F on the package film covering. The contents were overcooked, unrecognizable and inedible. I tried a second dinner and timed it for only two hours with pretty much the same results. The problem with this particular unit is that it had no temperature regulation and would not maintain a constant temperature (like a slow cooker). Did I get a defective unit? I was surprised, because most of the one star reviews were because the unit didn't get hot enough or just stopped working. I think that the HotLogic is a great idea having serious flaws that need correcting. $40.00 is too much money for a cheap zippered lunch bag with an unregulated temperature "hot plate." I expected nothing of the HotLogic except a warm meal after a few hours, but it just couldn't deliver. No more ruined meals for me. I just returned it. Note: I rarely leave one star reviews. This unit just might have been defective. Don't let this review keep you from trying one out. You might get one that works.
