I have been going back and forth on writing this review all week, but have finally decided that I would have wanted to know. We lost our two year old black lab, Mila, last week because a fragment of these hooves got stuck in her intestines. Mila had to undergo an exploratory surgery because they didn’t know what was wrong, and they came out during the surgery with the tip of a hoof and stated that it had gotten stuck and caused significant damage to her intestine. They removed 2 feet of damaged intestines. Ultimately, her little heart couldn’t take the anesthesia and surgery and she passed away during surgery. I have a yellow lab as well, and these hooves were one of their absolute favorite chew toys. They would keep them occupied for hours! We have thrown all of them away and will never give one of our dogs these again. It’s so heartbreaking knowing that you purchased something meant for a dog’s enjoyment and it ended up killing them. Our dogs loved them, but please proceed with caution and do not give to your dogs unsupervised.
