Have recently purchased the X3's after using the X2's for over a year. Overall, the X3's are a great improvement to the X2's. The sound is pretty great. Keep in mind I'm no audiophile, but I do use my X3's for commuting on a loud train, running, gym, and airplanes. In all of those scenarios, the X3's perform very well. I would definitely recommend these to someone in my inner circle (not something I would do unless I love the product). If you're looking for a mid-priced headphone to get you through the day/workouts, these are a great option. UPTATE: Originally I gave the X3's a 4 star review. However, since purchasing I have had to replace 2 times due to issues with them losing sound or ability to charge. Jaybirds customer support is fantastic and have worked with me both times to replace the headphones. Still, the process of receiving the new pair leaves you without headphones for about 2 weeks while your headphones ships to Jaybird and then they ship a new pair back to you only after they have received your damaged pair. I get it... but being without headphones for 2 weeks of running is difficult and frustrating. It's also frustrating that TWO pairs of X3's have both have separate issues... This really makes me question quality.
