Far worse than expected
I knew it was going to bad but I never expected it to be this bad. Besides the fact that they ripped the heart out of one of the greatest stories ever written, and ignoring the blatant woke racism permeating every aspect of this series...the acting is bad, boring the audience with never ending, lame monotone speech, the writing is atrocious, all but destroying the original story, the pacing is horrible, jumping from scene to scene with no logical progression, spending too much time on scenes that do not contribute to the story and making zero effort at character development. Even if this series wasn't plagued by the worst casting of all time, every single character is wooden and non-relatable. After three episodes, there should be a least a couple of characters the audience can feel emotionally tied to. This series gives us not one. Perrin came the closest to aligning with the actual character, but that's because Perrin was boring and every character in this series is boring. I really wanted to like this. I tried hard to find something, anything, to grab onto and be happy about...just one single thing good in this series. It shouldn't be difficult because I have always been very easy to please. In the five decades I've walked this planet, I can count the number of movies I really disliked on one hand. Thanks to talentless agenda driven people that couldn't care less about the story, my favorite series of all time has been added to the list. It's a shame zero stars is not an option.
