First what I like:- I have many Alexa devices but this is really useful because of large screen, right where everyone can access it, recognizes you and show personalized content. Most of this you can do from other devices but having a large screen that you can hang on a wall like an art makes lot of difference. Part that I hate:- 1. Installation is horrible. You can’t hide your cables easily. Even if you figure out somehow (which I did), the plug that they have given is so humongous that this device will be several inches away from your wall. It’s not a DYI thing. 2. System is very buggy. Had trouble recognizing our voices. For example once it recognizes my voice, it could not recognize my daughter’s voice (and she does not sound like me as she is 6yr old) and kept saying we have already recognized you. We did multiple tries for it to recognize only 2 out of 4 family members. 3. Integration with outlook calendar does not work. It works with old echo show. Amazon engineer accepted it’s a bug and they are working on a patch. Will update once I get it. 4. It seems this echo show lost some features from previous version. I can’t list all of them here but you can figure that out. 5. For what you are getting in this device, it’s overly priced. Still I believe it’s an excellent concept and hopefully Amazon engineers fix the bugs quickly and add new features to make it a powerful device in your home. _____________________ Changed my review to one star after recent experience with Amazon customer service to solve the issue with this device. My calendar widget does not work. They have the ticket open for last 10 days with no updates. Now I can’t return the product because it’s hanging on my wall. Replacement will not come until Jan end. Also no guarantee that replacement will not have that issue. Additionally all their agents have different version of the answers. It all goes to an India call center and they have no clue what they are talking. Update after getting replacement:- No changes. System has same issues. Now even hangs after running for 10 days so you have to take it out from wall and restart it as there is no easy way to reboot. Amazon has given up on this device. There are no additional wizards they are making which is the whole reason why someone would buy this. I highly recommend now not only to buy this Amazon device but any future Amazon device as their technology department sucks and can’t produce a feature without a bug. Lesson learned a hard way.
