I purchased this fan in April 2020 for use in a guest bedroom. It got intermitttent use without any issues from then until October 2020. When I purchased the fan, I liked the motor strength but not the accompanying noise. Also, I noticed that two of the LED lights in the control panel area did not light up. The night of 9 November, the smoke alarm in the guest bedroom where this fan was located went off. When I opened the door the whole room was filled with smoke, and I was aghast at seeing flames shooting out from the fan, and the curtains, two nearby blankets, and a chest of drawers were on fire. Luckily I was able to put the fire out by myself, however there is smoke damage to this bedroom's ceiling (blackened), to clothing and bedding that is in the room, and the glass in the window that was holding the fan was shattered. This fan was not in use when it spontaneously erupted in flames, in fact it had not been used for weeks. It was connected directly to the wall socket. There was no power surge or any other external reason why it burst into flames. Had I not been home, my house would have gone up in flames, killing my 3 pets. Had I been asleep, it is possible that I might have been killed too. This is a very dangerous product that should be pulled immediately from the market. ***DO NOT BUY***¨!!!!
