I never write reviews, but I decided to share the issues I encountered below with future buyers to hopefully help with their selection process..I know I would have liked to know this before I bought this frame so I hope you find this helpful: I researched wifi/cloud digital frames for a month and read countless mixed reviews before I invested in this Nixplay Edge 13". I decided to go with the Nixplay Edge 13" as it is the largest frame on the market with the best pixel resolution. Truth be told, the resolution is spectacular on this frame as advertised (of course assuming the original picture is good). However, I wish someone had told me about the following important details as for me they are game changers. - If you only have one "playlist" and decide to delete it and replace it with a new one, the frame defaults to it's blue menu screen and does not automatically start playing the new playlist until you press play on the physical frame itself or the frame remote. Meaning, I have to call my mom across Europe and ask her to press play on the frame !!!! NIXPLAY PLEASE FIX THIS as it defeats the whole purpose you advertised of "grandma never having to lift a finger". [tip to new owners: i found that if create multiple playlists and I always leave one standing playlist with at least one pic that I never delete, I can then avoid this problem and just switch out other remaining playlists as I please. But it was still a painful learning curve that I believe could be avoided before people give up on such a pricy frame and put it away in a drawer....NIXPLAY at least share this tip with people upfront!] - The remote is very cheap and flimbsy and does not work all the time, and you really need the remote for easy operation - It is true that you can send pics directly from your iPhone using the Nixplay app, BUT: you can only send 10 pics at a time (Nixplay customer service promised me you can send 20!), and it is very slow. NIXPLAY PLEASE FIX THAT - When I emailed photos to the Nixplay personal frame email, the pics just sat in an album and did not add to a playlist. Nixplay raves about how anyone can email a photo to the frame from anywhere...why is this feature not working for me? I read on Nixplay website you can add a <Pl: > descriptor in the email title which will tells the frame which playlist to add the emailed photo to, but that did not do anything....NIXPLAY PLEASE FIX THIS - When on shuffle mode, the same picture repeats multiple times before the entire playlist is displayd. NIXPLAY PLEASE FIX THIS - This is minor, but still worth mentioning. Even though the website allows you to edit the name of an album, it doesn't take it and just reverts back to the original name you gave it, so you are stuck with that name forever unless you delete and reload the album which is a lengthy process if you are loading hundreds of pics at a time...NIXPLAY PLEASE FIX THIS All in all, I think this frame has a lot of good potential but software still needs some work in my opinion. Also it would be nice to have the edge model in the 15' or 18' screen size.
