Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

At first I loved this unit. It was fairly quiet and worked well in my bedroom. I liked the temperature reading. Then it started to short cycle - going off and on every couple of minutes no matter what the setting. I tried cleaning it and putting it in different places around the room. I finally returned it ad it was using a lot of power. Then I received an email offering a rebate if I left a good review! This was a red flag for me - an artificial way to bump up the reviews. I then received an email saying they would give me $100 if I would bump up the review giving me a sob story about about sick family members and afraid of getting fired. I may be a sucker but I did raise it one star and cited good customer service (not praise for the product). I was contacted by that person again who asked me to raise it to 5 stars and change the wording! Enough is enough!!!! This company is so desperate for good reviews they'll do anything. DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY and don't trust the reviews as they are probably false.
