I liked this purifier so much that I purchased 2 during last summer's wildfire season. 6 months later (this week), I needed to buy an EMF monitor for a new health device, and for fun I bought two to compare them, and I walked around my condo with both to see if there were any high radiation levels. I expected it to be pretty much 0 except when the microwave was running. Would you believe that this tiny purifier gives off up to 45x more EMFs than standing immediately in front of the microwave (while it's actively running) and standing directly in front of my huge breaker box. The more expensive EMF monitor went off the charts! My microwave maxed out at 22 mG; this device set to level two absolutely maxed out the more expensive EMF monitor at 999.9mG! I can't imagine what the real number is, or how high it would be if I went up to the level 3 setting. I'm in shock, and also a touch outraged. I sleep a few feet away from it because I have asthma--the EMF levels don't go down to a relatively safe number until you're abut 6 feet away! This is incredibly dangerous, and the company should let buyers know! I'm going to reach out for a refund for both units. I have a Dyson purifier and a larger Levoit (the one with wifi and color coding) and those don't register any EMFs at all. I'm not sure why these smaller units do at such an outrageous level, but it's a problem for me that I've been sleeping right under a device that's giving off 45x more radiation than my microwave.
