I weighed a lot of the options for MRE's as I used to have a case of military standard MREs that just expired. I wanted to buy the same, but seems they are quite pricey and sometimes close to expiring. I chose these as the description made it seem like it was pretty close to the military issue. My major complaint is that I did not get what was advertised on this site's product description. The packs contained far less than what comes in a military style MRE. It only contained a meal, a cooke/biscuit, and a beverage mix, as spoon, and heater bag. It did not contain the items listed below in my review. A company should always deliver what it marks on it's advertising as what you will receive. Because of this, I am rating it a 2. I'm not sure how it's gotten such great reviews if it doesn't provide what it advertises. Other than that, the content packaging and meals were pretty close to the real deal so no complain there, and only reason I am rating it a 2. Deliver what you advertise! This is what I got: Six 2-course meals, each meal had: an Entree, Dessert, Electrolyte Beverage Powder, a flameless ration heater. This is what was advertised: Our 6-pack MRE is a stripped down, easy to carry box of six 2-course meals. Each meal has an Entree, Dessert, Electrolyte Beverage Powder and condiments. In addition each MRE also contains a flameless ration heater, which will allow you to heat this meal anywhere, anytime. Each Meal also contains: 6" military spoon, instant coffee, creamer, sugar, salt, pepper, wet nap and napkin.
