I absolutely loved this light initially and was ready to purchase more for other rooms of my house when I noticed a burned spot appearing on the front and back of the faceplate after approximately one month of use. The spot was warm to the touch and the plastic was very obviously melted. I immediately removed it, fearing a fire hazard. Unfortunately, my return window has closed or this would definitely be going back as defective. I should note that I live in the Land of the Midnight Sun and we have very few hours of darkness this time of year, so the light was activated maybe three hours a day? Certainly not working overtime enough to overheat and melt! Buyer beware!!
