Cosmic Power? A Cosmic Electrical "Black Hole!" Not even 5000 Mah.
I had my trepidations when I decided to order this battery because of the negative reviews. But I went ahead and ordered 2 of them anyway. I was severely disappointed once I received them and tested them to determine their true capacity. Basically I charged them both fully, took first one, plugged it into my Ipad 2 which was at 14%, and the battery died out completely before the IPad 2 was fully charged. It got as high as 88%. Then the battery simply shorted out when I tried to recharge it. An Ipad 2 has a capacity of 6990 Mah. I tried this all over again with the 2nd one I had bought. It also burnt out completely. I use lots of external batteries as my business has me working "in the field" most days and I need the extra power. I know quote a lot about batteries and have used them for years. I also install some "Stand alone" solar panels and battery banks. I have been doing professional installation for 20 years. I can easily say ( Professionally ) that in my entire career, these batteries were the absolute worst batteries I have ever seen. Any review stating otherwise is to be considered "suspect." LoL... I now keep one of these dead batteries out in clear sight on one of my work spaces. As a reminder to never, never, look for another "bargain" again. I have been fooled for the last time! I probably would recommend that you do not waste your money as I did. There are many good brands available that are very well priced and do deliver very close to the capacity that they state they deliver. Such as Anker for one. I have never been disappointed by a single Anker battery I have bought. I have tested Ankers batteries and they have the lowest power losses of any batteries. There is always about a 30% capacity loss when charging your devices due to heat produced, line resistance, charging circuitry etc. Anker batteries test out at 77- 80% of capacity. For example Powergen tests out to only 50% of capicities stated. They make poor batteries. These batteries I am reviewing (AllPowers ) test out to Zero per cent of stated capacities. "NoPower" would have been a better choice of brand name. However they make decent door stops.... On the other hand Easy Acc is good, so is Lumsing, and Anker is great.( I love their Gen 2 newer models.. ) All these brands are lower priced and worth the money.
