I literally just received this item and tried it out on my first garment. I made sure to only fill to the max line and not tilt the steamer (per the instructions) and it kept spitting water out onto my shirt! Then when I gave up and turned it off, it started bubbling water out from the top and getting steaming hot water everywhere!!! I am super disappointed because this had mainly good reviews... Not sure if I just got a bad one or what. 😣 The company reached out and supplied a newer model that did not have the same problem. I would suggest staying clear of this model and going with their newer model instead where they appear to have worked out the kinks. Another update Dec 18 - The newer model the company sent completely broke. It was working fine but just quit on us. Appears they just don't make anything that is long lasting. I would suggest a different brand. We are attempting a Conair brand now
