I love my ROKU 2 player so when the ROKU 3 came out I was eager to buy one and connect it to a TV in the extra bedroom. The 3 worked fine for a few days and then I got a blank screen with "DCP unauthorized Content diabled". If you google this phrase, you'll see that it happens quite a lot. So I bought a new (expensive) HDMI cable per advice on ROKU website. Didn't help. Switched the HDMI inputs, nope, still not working. In short, over the next month or two I tried every possible variation to get it working again. I spent a lot of time waiting on ROKU's horrible customer service to respond and at the end of the day, this still didn't work. Amazon return window had closed, ROKU keeps telling me it's my problem - HDMI cable, TV, Wireless network, power supply.... So I just gave up on this thing, and that's unusual because I'm persistent when it comes to technology. I went out to Costco and bought a Samsung Blu Ray player that gives me all the features of the ROKU 3 plus plays blu ray and DVD disks for about the same price. But the Samsung player actually works! Obviously this ROKU 3 works for some people, but if you're one of the many unlucky ones, you've just spent $100 on a product that doesn't work and customer service that is horrible in replacing it.
