After about 1 year of successful use, it started spitting iron dust along with the steam. It ruined some of my clothes - imagine a white dress shirt with an oval of rust dots deeply impregnted into it when I unwittingly pressed the steam button. Tried cleaning it many times, but didn't resolve the problem. Tried storing it in a different closet, fearing maybe it had absorbed dust from the closet where I initially stored it, But that didn't work either. I concluded the rust must be coming from within the device itself - its internals must just be rusting away and the hot water collects some of this rust and then leaves them as a stain on your clothes. So I had to throw it away.
