I bought these for use as little greenhouses when starting plants and they work very well. The lids snap shut with the handle locks and the would be good for any kind of storage. Nice and sturdy. Update 4/2019 I placed a second order for these bins and boy what a difference in quality. A third of the holes for the handles were solid (i.e. poor mold) and I had to take a pointed knife and cut out the plastic. Because the warehouse couldn't assemble the handles (filled holes) they just threw them in the carton loose. Whereas the first order I received had working handles that snapped to lock the lids the second order does not snap and the handles fall out of the holes if any pressure is applied when opening the lids. Obviously the company has a batch of poorly molded products and I would not recommend these now.
