My pump was completely clogged. As a very frustrated PhD biochemist, I finally decided to figure out what was clogging it. I shook the bottle and then filtered out the liquid, leaving the sediment on the filter, which was as simple as a paper towel. Photos of the sediment are attached. The hair looking thing is not from me. My hair is blonde. I've seen another review where someone else found hair at the bottom. It's likely filamentous growth. In addition, there are granules and gelatinous material indicative of biological growth. This product possibly has contamination that could be an anaerobic fungus. If this oil is supposed to be 100% pure, it may be that a batch was manufactured without using proper GMP protocols, so this lot should be pulled from the market. It appears that most people are leaving great reviews, so I wonder if their pump is working. If it is, then the contamination problem may have been resolved. If not, you may want to check the bottom of the bottle for sediment. Too bad my return date has passed. I triple bagged it, threw it out and cleaned everything with which it had come into contact with bleach.
