A similar product by “Modern Innovations” (that I ordered later) has an instruction manual that very clearly warns of a pinching hazard both by text and with diagrams. This Ouddy product has no manual hence no warning. I removed the Ouddy metal backing plate to check magnetic adherence to the refrigerator (which was fine) and then went to replace the backing plate while I decided where on the wall to mount the magnet. I was surprised by the sudden very strong magnetic force as the backing plate was almost in place. It snapped into place like a sprung rat trap. A small circle of skin was removed from both my thumb and one finger. Lots of blood and quite a bit of pain. The backing plate has scissors sharp sides and the forceful snapping into place will cut finger tips just like sharp scissors.
