A major disappointment
Gosh I wish before "sorted" amazon reviews by "lowest" first before bying this book. I would have seen all the negative reviews that posted exactly what I am feeling after buying this book.
I love Cesar's show, though admittedly one never knows with television what is or is not true and what has or has not been edited.
I don't believe as others claim that Cesar is cruel. It's also so confusing for the average person to understand the conflicting opinions on hierarchy and alpha dog issues when looking to use a method of correcting bad behavior.
I believe Casar is entitled to make money if he truly good at what he does but I agree with others, I spent money on this book hoping to learn a great deal about dealing with behavioral problems and learning to interpret some of the "body language" "early warning signs" that Cesar often references in his show. HOWEVER MUCH TO MY DISMAY this book was more an autobiography of Cesar than valuable information. One would get more information from watching his show for free than paying for this book. The title of this book is misleading as very little is written about "correcting common dog problems". I think Cesar is entitled to make money BUT not on the backs of consumers who believed based upon watching his show that we would be paying for helpful information rather than a book full of information about Caesar and the famous people he has helped. Hey Cesar what about us hardworking people who paid for your book?
It's a shame because it seems that Cesar has so much to offer. It's almost an insult to have the general population pay for this book and get nothing from it.
