I enjoy baking, especially cookies. I was excited to try a recipe the minute I received this beautiful book. However, I couldn't accomplish my goal without going to the store! While there are some interesting and original recipes in the book that you're not going to find anywhere else, many ingredients are probably not in most of our kitchens. For example, recipes call for slab bacon along with a bacon-chocolate candy bar, unsalted goat butter, halvah, smoked salted almonds, raspberry Framboise jam (recipe included), gianduja, passion fruit, orange blossom water, strawberry and cherry Iambics, and kumquats. Now, if you're looking for unique cookies recipes, have a source for these ingredients, and don't mind a shopping trip instead of starting the recipe, here's your book. However, be aware of the ingredients needed to create these recipes.
